Google has released its new update to the Chrome Web browser this week. This new update should be able to fix the video playback issues as well as some of the reasons why it keep crashing. Chrome is still in the beta testing stage.

“Release 154.0 (the most recent publicly released Chrome developer build) had a few browser crashes, including a crash on startup on tablet PCs running Windows Vista. We fixed the new crashes, and 154.3 should be much more stable,” Google Chrome program manager – Mark Larson said.

It is obvious that the browser wars have once again commenced and each one if trying outsmart the other with higher performance and faster, more sophisticated applications for the Web. Firefox released its first beta version 3.1 earlier this week – which improved its JavaScript. Microsoft is on the edge of releasing the new Internet Explorer 8. However, this one may be harder to sell. Many IE users still have not updated to IE7.

Chrome has also fixed problems with their plug-ins and issues that causes it to become unresponsive. Chrome has the ability to use Mozilla Firefox versions of plug-ins like Adobe Systems’ Flash.
